The Hot Rod is finally completed. Anything else will have to wait till we hit the track on Saturday. It has been a long time coming.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

It has been a long winter and the thoughts on November 03 2011 when we brought this car home haven’t changed. We knew it was going to be a huge undertaking to tear it completely down and start from scratch. The many many hours we have spent in the shop picking away at this car…thinking and rethinking how we were going to do things, has started to pay off. We are near the end. We do have a few thing left to complete but we do not anticipate any major difficulty getting them done.

First off we need to acknowledge our wives. They have had nerves of steel and patiences that go beyond belief with our passion to get this car done. For that we are grateful.

We do have one regret, and that is that our timelines were off by a few weeks and we could not make our sponsors car show, the Rondex Rodorama. For that we are sorry, I am sure that all our sponsors were looking forward to as much as we were, for that car to be in the show as we had hoped.

Our last hurdle is getting the sponsors logos on the car. We are counting on Kevin at Redline Graphics to pull us out of the fire once again.

All I can say is ….what an amazing winter and spring, filled with all kinds of fabrication challenges and obstacles to do a frame up build. There is light at the end of the tunnel… and our success will be mesasured a 1/4 mile at a time.

THE SWEET SMELL OF 114

Fired it for the first time. Not only was it the sweet smell of 114 octane race fuel but the eyes still burn. We are very happy…it sounded great!!!!!

CRUNCH TIME

We are working as hard as we can to get the car complete for Rodorama but it is going to be close. The scoop arrived yesterday and it will take some work to get it in. We wil be using the old hood and reworking it. Very time consuming.

Kevin has to only clear coat 3 more peices of carbon fiber and they will all be done. Install is going well. Car should be completely wired by mid week.

All we can do is cross our fingers. Still waiting on a couple of parts.

HARD AT IT

I have been on 2 week vacation , checking out Hawaii, so there has been no updates.

Well we are hard at her as the new pics will show. Hood and scoop are ordered. We hope to have Suncoast build it and deliver it under 4 weeks. Fingers are crossed because we were told 6 weeks to deliver. Picture is with the original hood and scoop.

Carbon fiber is back and were can start the wiring….Later
